The admission for the Bachelor Program in second or third year (Bac 2/Bac3) requires succeeding the admission exam as well as an appreciation of the candidate previous trajectory by a jury gathered to assess the experience and previous studies of the candidate.
The admission exam is addressed to all candidates: holding a Belgian high school diploma (CESS) or an equivalent foreign diploma, wishing to pursue an academic trajectory in the school.
To enroll in the second or third year of the Bachelor Program (Bac 2/Bac 3), candidates must certify a previous academic or artistic trajectory.
Candidates holding a foreign High School Diploma must submit a request for equivalence of their diploma or certificate of completion of their secondary studies to the Equivalence Service of the Ministry of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation. Please check: equivalences.cfwb.be
Except for some departments, integrating the Bachelor program in 2nd or 3rd year or the Masters program in 1st year, passing the written admission exam is not a requirement. However, the candidat must present his/her work to an admission jury, during an interview, or during the admission exam week or until on September 20, 2021 the latest, knowing that by then some curricula might be already full. Incomplete files will not be considered.
On the basis of succeeding the admission exam (and ad hoc document provided by the Head professor of the curriculum), the appreciation and programs jury will validate the earned previous graduate studies credits of the candidate. It will tailor the student’s annual program (PAE) according to the previous acquired knowledge in compliance with the decree of November 7, 2013 defining the landscape of higher education and the academic organisation of studies in the French Community of Belgium.
In order to complete your application file, submitting the following documents is mandatory:
- Copy for both sides of the identity card (or passport);
- Certified copy of the CESS (Certificat d’Enseignement Secondaire Supérieur) or a any other temporary document that justifies you have succeeded;
- If you are a holder of a foreign diploma:
- Certified copy of your high school diploma (example: baccalaureate)
- Transcript of records (grade sheet)
- Equivalence request or decision regarding your diploma if you are applying for the Bachelor study program all years included (the request need to be introduced to the equivalence services cfwb.be) ;
- Receipt of administrative fees (25 euros)
To finalize your file, you will also need to provide the following documents. They can be submitted after the admission exam. However, you will not be registered in the school as long as your application is incomplete.
- Original birth certificate
- Supporting documents that justifies of your activities or years of study since obtaining your high school diploma. If you obtained your CESS in 2020: no need to provide any document. If you obtained your CESS in 2019, justify the 2019-2020 academic year. If you obtained your CESS in 2018, 2017, 2016 or 2015, you need to justify respectively the last two, three, four or five academic years. If you obtained your CESS before 2015, you need to justify the last 5 academic years. In the absence of supporting documents for the last 5 years of activity and, only in this case, a sworn statement will be requested. Please note that any omission is considered a registration fraud.
